Welcome to the Book of Isaiah! Written around 740–680 BC, Isaiah was a prophet in Judah during the reigns of Kings Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah. His book is often called the Fifth Gospel because of its vivid prophecies about the coming Messiah, Jesus Christ. Isaiah warns of Judah’s impending judgment due to sin but also offers hope - promising a future King and Saviour who will establish an everlasting kingdom. He speaks of the suffering Servant (Isaiah 53), who will bear the sins of many. This book calls us to trust in Gods salvation—listen as Isaiah proclaims judgment, redemption, and the glory of the coming King.
