Welcome to Haggai! Written in 520 BC, this book encourages the Jewish exiles who returned from Babylon to complete rebuilding the Temple in Jerusalem. After returning in 538 BC ,they faced opposition and discouragement, leaving the work unfinished.Through Haggai, God challenges them: Is it time for you to dwell in panelled houses while My house lies in ruins? (Haggai 1:4). He reminds them that obedience brings blessing, and He promises that the glory of the latter house will be greater than the former (Haggai 2:9). This book urges us to prioritise God’s work and trust in His presence - experience the call to spiritual renewal and God’s provision.
