Welcome to Malachi, the last book of the Old Testament! Written around 430 BC, Malachi addresses the spiritual decline of Israel after returning from exile. The people had become apathetic in worship, corrupt in leadership, and unfaithful in marriage.  God, through Malachi, rebukes their half-hearted sacrifices and lack of devotion. Yet, He also promises:

- The coming of John the Baptist (Malachi 3:1).

- The Sun of Righteousness (Jesus) who will bring healing (Malachi 4:2).

Malachi ends with a call to remember God’s law and expect the Messiah.
